Hyperpress &
Hyperpierce
Series

All HyperCyl© cylinders operate on a basis of ratios. Input air pressure (PSI) multiplied by the Working Ratio of a respective cylinder determines the cylinder Output Force.

F=Input PSI x Working Ratio.

Hyperpress Series

C-Frame Press Series

The basic C-frame press design consists of three components: a welded steel framework, a hydra-pneumatic cylinder or servo actuator, and upper and lower platens. Frames are available in either unguided and guided designs, depending on the application’s specific tooling considerations.

Advantages:

  • Easy access

  • Affordable

  • Optimized space.

Applications:

  • Punching: Piercing or cutting openings

  • Blanking: Removing a piece of metal and retaining it

  • Coining: Compression of all workpiece surfaces

  • Straightening: Stretching, twisting, or bending metal

  • Forming: Transforming flat sheet metal parts into 3D parts
Bending: Applying force to create angles

  • Drawing: Pulling metal through a tapered die

  • Assembly: Fastening multiple parts together

H-Frame Press

H-frame presses consist of a steel frame, posts, a press cylinder, and, optionally, a movable middle bolster. They can have two or four posts, which can serve as a guide for a moving platen. These presses are primarily used for assembly and forming applications that require a pass-through design for part loading and unloading operations.

Advantages:

  • Simple design

  • Easy material pass-through

  • Large tooling suitability

  • Effective operation

Applications:

  • Bending

  • Blanking

  • Forming

  • Straightening

  • Piercing

  • Cutting

  • Stamping

  • Assembly

CGB Low-Profile Press

The basic C-frame press design consists of three components: a welded steel framework, a hydra-pneumatic cylinder or servo actuator, and upper and lower platens. Frames are available in either unguided and guided designs, depending on the application’s specific tooling considerations.

Advantages:

  • Cleanliness

  • Medium to high forces

  • Reduced contact shock

  • Energy efficiency

  • Low noise

  • Environmentally friendly-enhanced

Applications:

  • Riveting

  • Clinching

  • Piercing

  • Joining

  • Marking

  • Coining

Hyperpierce Series

C-Frame Press Series

The HyperPierce series units are ideal for metal and composite piercing, riveting, marking, clinching, staking and assembly applications where high-speed, high-force operation is desirable.

The Hyperpierce operates by equalizing units extend both ram and anvil to the work piece, reverse equalizing extends the anvil to the work piece, non-equalizing units extend the ram to the work piece prior to the power stroke (high force) cycle. Units include oil refilling and high-pressure gage couplings, low-oil indicator and installation/service manual.

Hypercyl

Beginning in 1994 AEC/HyperCyl recognized the need for evaluating customer assembly and forming applications to determine the force/distance, time and finished product requirements prior to press and fixture design and the purchasing of equipment.
